Little Blue Flowers by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I painted this a while back at one of my workshops. It was simpler and I was just not quite satisfied with it. I added the vase of flowers and the little blue flowers to the right and also the lemon wedge. I like it much better now. 16x20 oil on gallery wrapped canvas.

Pinecones by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan This was a little tricky to paint but as usual I just did my best and am pretty happy with how it turned out. It is in oil painted  on a 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas with thick sides. It does look very nice.

In A Clear Glass by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I always struggle with pinks and reds and oranges all while trying to achieve pink. The sad thing.... I don't remember what color I used to get this pink. 7x5 oil on canvas panel.

Off The Tree by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan A favorite and a few pieces of peppermint. I found this pitcher at TJ Maxx and fell in love with it it is shiny but has ridges. I am sure you will see more with this pitcher. Also I bought the little white dish next to the Santa with the piece of peppermint in it. The red candle is one my sister gave me for my birthday many years ago. I am trying my best to keep the background smooth to emphasize the objects of importance. 8X10 oil on canvas panel.

Happiness Has Found Me by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I have had these angels for several years and have painted them a few times. If I changed anything about this painting it would be the cups I guess however I love the clear bottle and the soft shadows.  10x8 oil on gallery wrapped canvas.

In a Cup by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan While painting today I found a photo of this little cup with beautiful purple miniature roses. I tried to keep it loose and fun. So I usually try to keep the post on my blog upbeat and positive but on this one I don't know if I can hold to my standard. This little painting sold as soon as it posted. I was so delighted and shipped it right away. A few days later the client notified me that she was just not happy with the painting. The first photo is the original that posted the second one I washed out in photo shop to show you the differences in computer monitors. When I photograph my paintings I try not to retouch very much except to lighten at times but even so oft times I do have a hard time getting an exact likeness. Anyway I know it shouldn't but it felt like a real kick in the gut. I am a little down right ...

My Cup is Full by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan An amazing little still life everyday I am amazed at how much I like painting. Everyday that I am not working I am in my studio at about 5am sometimes 6 and I paint for quite a while. Not complaining though.
