Unexpected Storm landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Sometimes I just want to paint. Well actually I want to paint all the time but time just does not cooperate. I painted this today and like the snow. I have to admit there are a few things maybe I should have done different but this is the finished result. It looks to me a little chaotic and fast but I tell you it was anything but... It is oil on 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas. Painted with love and thought and tears.

Home School animal painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan This is so big at 24x48inches. I started this large painting quickly realizing that I was in over my head and then I said to myself...Just breathe. Soon I was lovin painting cows again and everything went fine. It is amazing how sometimes things just turn out ok even when you don't expect it.

Late Summer Blooms landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I am working on the faded mist of the faraway woods. Of course I had to add a portion of fence. Actually The bottom painting is the first one and I called it done but as I looked closer for a little while I knew the color of the water just was not quite right. The top picture is after I went back and added a darker element to the water giving it a stronger more important look. I like it better anyway. I also added more orange in the water and you just can't go wrong with that right?  8x10 oil on canvas panel. landscape.

I worked a pit to get different shades of gray. It was interesting to use blues and greens with a touch of black. I hope you like it. 10x8 oil on canvas panel.

I remember when I first started painting I did not actually realize that each tiny stroke of an artist brush is intentional and not by accident or by just happening. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!
