Passing Storm oil landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Image
Passing Storm oil landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I don't even know how I did this. The sky just seemed to come alive as I painted. I love this painting with the distant Church. This kinda reminds me of the condition our world is in. Turmoil in above us yet the sunshine still peeps through and touches our lives. This is oil painted on a 16x20 canvas panel.

Always There

Image
Always There Standing...In the sun...in the rain. On good days and bad. Standing... Just waiting day after day to help that wayward straggler. Kinda like us. I do believe I am here to help someone. Someone less fortunate than myself. My hope is that sometime before my life is over I would have made the life of someone else better. What will I do today? I will let you know. 7x5 oil on canvas panel Sold

We Might Get Wet

Image
We Might Get Wet A beautiful sunny day at the beach. Beach umbrella out just to  protect us from the scorching sun then all of a sudden from  out of nowhere the clouds roll in and in the distance we can see the rain pelting down as it touches the far away water. Should we go or should we stay. What I am trying to say is We Might Get Wet. Painted for a challenge at paintanddrawtogether.blogspot.com Oil on 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas $50

The Eye Of The Storm

Image
The Eye Of The Storm In the eye of the storm is a place of peace. After experiencing the nightmare of the wind, rain and sometimes hail peace and erie quiet surrounds. Sometimes people come out from hiding in the eye of the storm before they must regroup for the onslaught of what will come next. As I looked at this little church and the gloomy clouds I thought about the eye of the storm. The church is where some people fine refuge in the eye of their storm. May your storms of life be brief and may you find your place of refuge. 12x12 oil on gallery wrapped canvas No Longer Available

The Coming Storm

Image
The Coming Storm I painted this today while feeling quite sad. My 86 year old dad who had an accident about three weeks ago was diagnosed with probable spinal cord cancer. He is now paralyzed from the waist down. We visited with him on Fathers day in the hospital. He was so happy to see us and knew everyone. Before that and since, he has been confused and doesn't  know anyone. I guess the day we visited him was just one  more little gift from God. My mom is so sad, and as our lives change each day I can feel  "The Coming Storm." Painted with a palette knife on panel board.
