Love Boat still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Ok, So here is the truth...I painted this and thought of Banana Boat but then looking at the enduring position of the cherries decided instead to name it love boat after all the banana is kinda shaped like a boat. 10x8 oil on canvas panel. I am really proud of the floral cloth and the solid blue strip cloth. I am venturing out in my set ups and adding more items/interest.

My Kitchen Towel by Angela Sullivan One day there were three oranges in a bowl on the counter. Actually we had been there a while just kinda drying out. We were neglected and alone. She walked by and flipped on a light and wouldn't you know that at that very moment a glimmer of light hit us just like a spotlight. With a slight crooked smile her gaze caught ours and it was love at second site. She gently picked us up careful not to drop us. She carried us away and placed us on this beautiful kitchen towel. Table Spread by Angela Sullivan This weekend I went camping and my daughters had brought some fruit. I set this arrangement up on top of an Igloo Cooler and painted this with the sun shining down on it. It was such fun and the results really turned out nice. 10x8 oil on gallery wrapped canvas.

  Frog In The Kitchen by Angela Sullivan I don't know why I am here. I was outside in the garden when I noticed that someone had left the door open. I hopped as fast as I could and reached the front door. Unnoticed I jumped as fast as I could until I was in the kitchen. On the counter was this set of stacked bowls. I leaped up on the table and found my place. I go undetected even now. As people pass by they just think I am some little cute whatnot not a slimy green toad. 6x6 oil on canvas panel.  In A Pickle by Angela Sullivan I find glass jars quite the challenge. It is interesting to decide where you will let the background color peep in to add reflection and light. I liked manipulating the paint to form the texture on the pickles. I originally planned to make definate bumps but opted to leave them as they were. I Escaped Look at that delicious pie. Sweet and tart just like grandma used to make. Guess what? I am sitting her saying this only because I am so clever. Yep...I got away, I escaped. Right when they  were reaching for me I rolled right off in the floor and hid under the table. I snuggled up real close to the leg and then I smelled that wonderful aroma and knew that I was safe. A hand picked me up and placed me right back on the table so near that piece of pie that I can still feel the warm heat from the oven. Almost seems as though I am goodying them. Well I kinda am goodying them. So glad that I escaped and  will be around to tell this incredible story to my grandchildren. Oh no....Oh no....tell me it ain't so they are  coming back to get me. She is licking her lips and she ain't looking at that pie. Here I go again.  Splat I am on the floor again.....Give me a little hand how bout you say a little prayer for me right now. I might not be so lucky next time............

Apple Happy I guess I named this because both apples and the color red make me happy. Speaking of happy I was at a dept store today and a young woman was talking on her cell phone but what  caught my attention was that she had an infectious smile on her face. No giddy laughter or chuckles, Just a sweet sincere smile. It really did make me smile. Sometimes I have noticed myself talking to someone about nothing really but I realize I am smiling.
