  Sitting Pretty rose painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan   I have been practicing painting roses. When I started this I knew that I wanted to paint a chair,  and then came the window. The roses were painted as an after thought but definitely was in the plans. This looks a little darker than it actually is. It is really pretty and rich. It is Christmas time and I could not let it slip by without painting him. I could not get rid of the glare and the color is stronger than it really is. Miss Chick by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Again I felt compelled to paint the chick I got for Christmas. It just kinda screams paint me.  I looked around my studio and saw a beautiful red apple. One my daughter brought me a couple of weeks ago.I got the knife and cut it up wanting to capture the fleshy part and seeds but to my surprise it was all brown inside so I did what any artist would do I changed it.
