On Top Of The World by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I have been painting quite a lot despite working a full time job. But a full time job I realize just does not give me the satisifaction that painting does. I know I have painted a lot of apples and pears not to mention the green vase and that little cup. My 6 year old grandson set this up for me. I did have to move one of the pears due to the small canvas size. I am learning that you have to paint the fruit while it last which is not long enough. The tulips bit the dust pretty quickly but I did get quite a few paintings from them though.  7x5 oil still life on canvas panel.

Out of Season by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Among the paint props that my daughter gave me for Christmas was this little snowman. I was gonna wait until next Christmas to paint it but sitting there on the shelf I just couldn't resist along with the fact that every time my daughter came over she said Hey mom, when are you gonna paint the snowman. I am looking forward to good things.  Arranged Marriage I have to say is one of those paintings that I really love. I named it because of the meticulous time I took to arrange it. It just seemed right. Hope you love it. As I look at this I realize that my style is changing as time goes by little by little day by day. Miss Chick by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Again I felt compelled to paint the chick I got for Christmas. It just kinda screams paint me.  I looked around my studio and saw a beautiful red apple. One my daughter brought me a couple of weeks ago.I got the knife and cut it up wanting to capture the fleshy part and seeds but to my surprise it was all brown inside so I did what any artist would do I changed it.   A Simple Gift by Angela Sullivan A couple of apples and a gift of bath salts in a pretty box. This box sits on my shelf day after day overlooked while I pic other things to paint. But not today. Today it caught my attention and I reached for it and sat it behind two apples. It still amazes me that each dab of color was intentional. Each dark blue and light area yep.....meant to be. Each shimmer of white and the yellow on the apples all placed there on purpose. I love painting...really. 6x6 oil on edge wrapped canvas.

Table Spread by Angela Sullivan This weekend I went camping and my daughters had brought some fruit. I set this arrangement up on top of an Igloo Cooler and painted this with the sun shining down on it. It was such fun and the results really turned out nice. 10x8 oil on gallery wrapped canvas.

  Eggs In There Submitted to the 30 in 30 Day Challenge Another challenge at www.paintanddrawtogether.blogspot.com Just couldn't help myself. I know I should paint tighter but I am having so much fun. Repeating once again my joy with this kind of painting. It is really like I am smiling the whole time I am at the easel. I have always heard that every artist has a certain style and after painting for several years I  wonder if I have finally found mine. I know that I have thought that before but never have I enjoyed painting so much. I literaly can't wait to get to the easel each day.
