Out Past My Curfew Yep! I know that I should be home by now... I do find it quite spooky out here. I act all brave and stuff but I will sure be glad when I get home. The reason I am out is because that girl dog begged me to stay just a little longer. We shared a yummy morsel and before I  knew it here I am walking home after dark.   Zoe On A Good Day  There is just one thing that I hate. The Groomer.... That lady is not so nice. First of all she picks me up and plops me down on that hard table. Then she puts a giant rope around my neck I guess to make me be still. I won't take this lying down. I squiggle and wiggle and whine and howl all to no avail. She won't give up. She just looks at me and sighs. I look at her exhausted. I can't wait to get home. She clips and dips and trims and in the end she sprays me with that perfume stuff. And all of this makes my lady happy. I can't wait to get home I will be under the bed for quite sometime.  6x6 oil on gallery wrapped canvas. Getting My Feet Wet A day at the beach is soooooo much fun. I find that you can just romp and play until your tongue hangs out....No literally. So much fun that no wonder we can't come here every day. I would only weigh about a pound. I have never thought of exercise in such an enjoyable way.  Wow! am I tired. The Price of Freedom What is the price of freedom? To some it is greater than others. Some give their sons and  daughters while others give their lives. While we celebrate with fried chicken and watermelon and listen to the pops and whistles of fireworks some people hear real explosives. Instead of their children screaming and playing under the water sprinklers they hide in shelters in fear for their lives. We are so blessed. We have so much but for sure at a price. Thank you soldiers thank you all who have served so that we can celebrate in peace. Thank you to all you mom's and dad's who have prayed for your children...for my children who have gone far far away to protect us. Happy 4th and may we embrace peace... The Dog I Want To Be The Dog I Want To Be... Where shall I begin. I want to be loyal yet kind and fun to play with.  I want to be the kind of dog that kids beg their mom's to take home. I want to jump and play and frolic among the flowers. I want to play fetch with some little boy. I want to romp on the beach and  lay down in the shade of a big southern oak. I want to sit on the creek bank as my person catches fish. Hiding In The Garden I found the door open and headed out for a little walk. I didn't get very far before I realized I was lost. I found a place in this garden where I could not be seen so I hunkered down there. I decided that the best place to be was hiding out in the garden. I watched as the bees buzzed around me and of course some beautiful butterflies. I felt the summer breeze as it gently blew my hair in my face.
