I Still Believe Painted in 2010 but thought I would share with you once again.... I remember when I was a little girl someone told me that there is no Santa. That Christmas I still got gifts which I didn't deserve. I still felt the magic in the air and felt the love of my family at Christmas so no matter what people may say I still Believe.

Mountain Reflections A place of peace can really be anywhere. I have been in a crowd yet so all alone in thought and peace. You have too. This was painted on a recent trip to the Smoky Mountains a real place of peace and reflection. Believe it or not I drug out the old acrylic paints and for the first time ventured out for some plein air painting. So much fun. My youngest daughter Lacy got up at the crack of dawn to go with me so someone did not kill me. I think that is how she said it. Tipped Over I am intrigued by squash, goards,and pumpkins. Actually I am intrigued by a lot of things. I guess as most other artist I almost drool at shapes and values, hues and down right color. I found these goards at wetcanvas and had to paint them. I have struggled to develop my STYLE. What I ask myself  is my style? Sometimes it seems as though each and every time I sit down to paint the canvas is new and I have forgotten how I did it the last time. Yesterday and today I started out drawing my intended painting which I rarely ever do but I am ready for some change. I also painted on 12x12 a change from my comfort zone of 5x7. Bent Pumpkins are so intriguing. The vegetable is so firm and plump yet the  stem is crooked and many times bent. I loved painting the rich oranges and  blues in this painting. Today was a good day of painting. 7x5 acrylic on canvas panel. Paypal available
