In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan

Image
In A Misty Field by Angela Sullivan I could have been a city horse but no I was one of those lucky ones. I was born on a small farm in the deep south. My mom was a race horse and dad...well he just plowed the fields. But we were happy back then and now that I am all grown up I hope I can teach my offspring the same values that my parents taught me. Things about never spit into the wind and always let ladies go first. Oh yes and that sunshine is Gods way of saying I love you...5x7 oil on canvas panel. To purchase via Paypal visit my Gallery

Steady Girl by Angela Sullivan

Image
Steady Girl by Angela Sullivan That cowboy was here again today...Can you believe that he keeps saying the funniest things. He squats down and grabs me well....you know where...says something about milk and I think what he said is Steady Girl and gave me a squeeze. I tell you the truth I kicked him to next Sunday. Milk?  He left here headed to walmart to buy milk. Steady Girl....I bet it will be a month of Sunday's before he says that to me again. 7x5 oil on canvas panel To purchase via Paypal Gallery

Country Red

Image
Country Red Today I decided to start a series of barns. Two things they will have in common is that they will all have barns and second they will be painted on the small 4x4 canvas panel. They pack a lot of punch to be so little. How many will I paint? I don't know. I will paint them until one day you will visit and see something else where a barn might have been. Oil painting on 4x4 canvas panel yes that is 4inches x 4inches.

Mill Iron Ranch

Image
Mill Iron Ranch There is a place out west called the Mill Iron Ranch. It is located at Jackson Hole Wyoming. I will say it holds one of my favorite memories ever. We went for a sleigh ride and steak dinner and it was well worth it. One of the things in life that I would love to do again. We rode around on a horse pulled  sleigh and viewed elk galore. The dinner was wonderful and the company even among strangers was something to remember. If you are ever out that way do yourself a favor and visit this ranch. You are sure to love it. This is the owner Chancy Wheeldon. Such a photogenic person.  I painted this is acrylic and was never completely satisfied with it so I re worked it. It is one of those paintings that is so much nicer in person. 20x16 mixed media.  To purchase follow the link to my DPW gallery to pay via PayPal $280

The Fence

Image
The Fence I tell you if it wasn't for this fence I would come over there right now. Thats right... I really would do it. I see that green grass that is surely greener than what I have right here. Oh and by the way I bet those daisies are quite munchie too. If you could just hand them to me I will be quite content I guess the fence is really for my protection anyway. No don't open that gate....I am ok right where I am... Oil on 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas $50

Bessie

Image
Bessie She is old and gray, her steps are slower and less sure than they used to be. Each day she saunters from the watering hole to the cattle gate where she knows the master will be each evening with the food. The other cattle are younger yet she keeps her place in line. She eats her fill and then returns to her place of quiet rest. Tomorrow will be the same, and the next day, and the next, and the next.  UNAVAILABLE
