Things Are Looking Up by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I must say that I love this little painting. Actually painted from a picture of my daughters kitten.  Which brings me to a funny story. My daughters kitten went missing after her husband accidentally let it out. She looked for several weeks and could never find it. A few weeks later her children were playing with the neighbors little girl who was about 4 years old. We liked your little kitty she said. You did my daughter ask. Yes replied the little girl in fact my granny liked it so much that she took it home with her to live. Thinking About A Nap I always want to paint cats. Big or small does not matter just as long as it is a furry creature which purrs. Some days as an artist you just like what you have painted... Gentle Ben Roar!  I am a beastly lion. My name is Ben. I am big and bad. It's true that some of my teeth are missing but I still have enough to do you some harm. Well, I don't really like eating people I only do that if I have no other choice. I don't understand why the zoo keepers call me Gentle Ben? Fancy Hiding out behind a trash can in the alley is this beautiful cat. She dosn't know that she is beautiful because she is an alley cat. Abused and left alone she longs for someone to love her. A police officer walking by spots her and with kind words trys to coax her closer. She shys away, day after day he drops by with treats and little by little she inches closer until one day she nudges his leg as he bends down and then his outstretched hand is accepted and the friendship begins. She trust him more and more each day before she knows it she follows him home. Her life has changed, she no longer lives in an alley. She lives in a beautiful home with her own bed and food anytime she wants. Now she has a name chosen by her new friend. Her name is Fancy. 6x8 acrylic on canvas panel UNAVAILABLE

Waiting At The Window She waits by the window. Her person will be home soon. Basking in the sun she will not move from her post. Then she hears the gentle roar of the car engine as it pulls into the drive. She runs to the door and as it opens she finds her place circling around a pair of legs, leaning in the equivalence of a cat hug she begins to hum in a low deep purr. She is in a state of happiness because her  friend is finally home.  8x6 acrylic on canvas panel
