The Pot Some things are strewn on the table top like the leaf that is almost unnoticed without a closer look. The yellow flowers with just a hint of pink or is that orange stand tall in the pot. The pot that was found out back behind the garden shed. The pot that had been discarded to never be used again yet salvaged by her gentle hands. As she stooped low and her wrinkled hands shook slightly as she reached for it she remembered the day, The day when she always had beautiful flowers. She gently picked it up and as she thought of her life she decided that even though old and no longer shiny and bright she would give the old pot another chance.
