Landscape painting Pure Country by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Oil on 20x20x1.5 gallery wrapped canvas. Wow!  I really loved painting this.  It is so rich and beautiful it reminds me of Montana.  Much richer than the photo.

When The Air Is Cool landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Image
When The Air Is Cool landscape painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan The original painting is not quite this dark but close. 8x10 oil on canvas panel. I don't really know why I don't usually paint landscapes. I think just because it is an unfamiliar area for me. I hope you are patient with me if you are a follower as I branch out to another venue. Yes, yes I will soon paint still life again.

Lazy Mountain Water

Image
Lazy Mountain Water The last painting done on location at Pigeon Forge,Tennessee. I had such a fun filled time with family and friends. We went tubing down the shallow river and visited some of the shows. We ate too much and laughed a lot and now all that is left are memories.... Until next year that is. 5x7 acrylic on canvas panel. Private Collection

Shallow Mountain Stream

Image
Shallow Mountain Stream No the stream did not really come this close to the house but that is the good thing about being an artist I can do what I want and place things where I want.  Sometimes my choices are good and other times not so good. 5x7 acrylic on canvas panel Private Collection

Mountain Reflections

Mountain Reflections A place of peace can really be anywhere. I have been in a crowd yet so all alone in thought and peace. You have too. This was painted on a recent trip to the Smoky Mountains a real place of peace and reflection. Believe it or not I drug out the old acrylic paints and for the first time ventured out for some plein air painting. So much fun. My youngest daughter Lacy got up at the crack of dawn to go with me so someone did not kill me. I think that is how she said it. As you can see I am alive and well...for now. 5x7 acrylic on canvas panel. Private Collection
