Angela Sullivan Art

Big blue Jug by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Painted for a challenge at  www.paintanddrawtogether.blogspot.com I could have painted this and stuck to the original photo but you know that the thing that makes this all special is my liberty to change it as I want. 7x5 oil on canvas panel

Saving For A Rainy Day by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan If you have wondered why I have not posted for a few days it is because I have been locked in at the hospital for three days. When the snow storm began I got a call from the hospital at 11am that they were sending the National Guard to pick me up for my shift which would began at 7pm. I had no option but to go as I am a critical care nurse. We camped out on mattresses on the floor with all of the ICU staff sleeping in the same conference room. They fed us and kept us warm and even arranged for showers and personal needs of course. We could not leave the hospital until today when the weather warmed up enough for us to leave. Wow!!! That was not fun. There is no place like home. 5x7 oil on canvas panel.

Forced by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Soft and different, This is another painting I did where I focused on the main focus.  A clear glass vase with a forced hyacinth. This is quite large at 24x20 gallery wrapped canvas.  For sale contact me for info.

Purple Bliss by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan This is another softy as I call it that I painted after Carol Carmichael's workshop. I certainly am not used to this kind of painting but I have to say I kinda like it.  This Hydrangea I bought at Publix a couple of weeks ago and it is in full bloom now.  I am no good with flowers so it will probably die soon. I am keeping my fingers crossed.  I welcome any suggestions for keeping it alive.  This painting is a 24x8 inch on gallery wrapped canvas. Still life, Hydrangea painting.

On A Blue Plate by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Another painting done at the recent workshop I attended with Carol Carmichael's.  8x10 oil on canvas panel. Still life. Purple onion painting.

Hay Please by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Another painting that I painted at Carol Carmichael's workshop. Softer and a sweet looking little cow. Would love to know what you think of this different style. Like it or like my old style better. I have to admit that I have always liked bold and bright but I kinda like these. Cow painting, animals.

Getting My Feet Wet by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I attended a workshop with Carol Carmichael in Birmingham, Al. over the weekend. It was wonderful to say the least. I certainly painted differently than my usual. Mostly explored more of a pastel look instead of the bold paints I most often use. Over the next few days I will be posting some of the ones I did at this workshop and afterward while still using the techniques I learned there. Thanks Carol for such a lovely time. Figurative painting oil on 10x8 canvas.
