You Were Almost Mine I found this little creature for sale at our local ROSS store. He was a little metal owl sitting on a limb. It was love at first sight but what would I do with  something like that? Soooo... I whipped out my iphone and took pictures and now you get to see him. See why I loved him. Today I Go Shrimping I love that mist filled air where shrimp boats gather. I can remember the heavy salty air at Bayou La Batre,Al a little fishing town on the gulf coast. Stealing The Show Sunflowers should be called Yellow smiles because everytime I see them I smile. I see them planted next to the road with their tall heads beaming. Reaching, reaching for the sun. Beautiful with their big yellow heads. None can compare to the beauty as they sway in the summer breeze and leave behing their large brown seeds sending forth life for then next coming crop. Mill Iron Ranch There is a place out west called the Mill Iron Ranch. It is located at Jackson Hole Wyoming. I will say it holds one of my favorite memories ever. We went for a sleigh ride and steak dinner and it was well worth it. One of the things in life that I would love to do again. We rode around on a horse pulled  sleigh and viewed elk galore. The dinner was wonderful and the company even among strangers was something to remember. If you are ever out that way do yourself a favor and visit this ranch. You are sure to love it. This is the owner Chancy Wheeldon. Such a photogenic person.  I painted this is acrylic and was never completely satisfied with it so I re worked it.
