Tomorrows Snack still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan While painting outside at the wrong time of day is like constantly chasing the shadows and light and if that isn't bad enough try painting outdoors when it is overcast. 10x8 oil on canvas panel.

Faraway Gazing sunflower demo still life by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan I decided to share my painting process with you today. I know it looks a mess.  I add in the light foreground  Adding more detail to the glass and the cup also adding lighter blue on the cup. Also blurring the distant sunflower petals.  I added the

Family Reunion still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan We went camping last weekend. I stopped by Walmart and bought fruit yep just to paint while I was gone. I picked up a huge bag of cherries because they looked so wonderful. Deciding I only needed a few I emptied them all out except a few. Shocked I was to find they were almost four dollars for just a handful. Crazy!!! I couldn't believe it but they did taste yummy when I finally ate them. Frantic for just one more thing I pulled some long grass and put in a vase. 10x8 oil on canvas panel.

Choices still life painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Of course when I paint something I never know what to name it. I just paint it and then the name just comes. My first and only one. It was quite a challenge. 10x8 oil on canvas panel.
