Milk Maid cow painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Again, again, I just can't paint enough cows. They are my absolutely love them. The are slow or at least I think they are. I won't be climbing over any fences to find out. I really liked painting the pink udders on this one. This cow was staked out in someones yard in Amish country for their personal use of milk I think. Her udders were full and she was just happily munching on the green grass. She was behind a chain link fence which I promptly left out.  oil on 6x6 gallery wrapped canvas.animal painting

The other day my grandson ran to the curb and promptly sit down to wait on his mom to get home from work. I decided that anyone seeing him there would think what a nice young man. They would never guess the mischievousness inside. I just had to paint it. I wanted to call it Waiting On a Woman but figured that was copyrighted or something.

Cherry Changa cherry painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan

Cherry Changa  cherry painting by Alabama Artist Angela Sullivan Well thanks to all of you who have not stopped following me even in my absence. Hopefully I am back. I painted for the first time this week in my new studio. We bought a home which was built in 1880 a Victorian. It is old, the decor is old and I am in love. Below I decided to show you a glimpse of where I will be painting. It needs a lot of work and rework to get it exactly as it will need to be but for now I have been painting. When I sat down for the first time in a few months it was like I had forgot everything. It is slowly coming back. I thought I would start simple with just a cherry. I now remember why I love to paint. It really is just a part of me. It feels so good to be back.
